Mark attendance for many staff at once
Tick several staff on the daily attendance page and mark them all present, half day, absent, on a weekly off, on a holiday or on duty.
Bulk marking is useful when most of your staff were present, or when everyone had an unplanned holiday.
Mark several people
- Go to Attendance and pick the day.
- Tick the people in the Select column. The bar at the bottom shows how many are selected.
- In Mark as, choose Present, Half day, Absent, Weekly off, Holiday or On duty.
- Type a Reason if you like. It is optional.
- Select Mark selected.
X reports how many days were marked and how many failed. A day fails when it is locked by a finalised pay run, or when the person is outside your branches.
Good to know
- Bulk marks set the day's status only. They add no punches, so the day's Logs tab does not list them. Each bulk mark is recorded in the activity log.
- A day you marked by hand stays as you marked it, even if a punch arrives later. Select Remove manual marking to let the punches decide again.
- For days in the past, check that the rule set does not mark unmarked days absent before you start. See Set up an attendance rule set.
