Shifts and rules
Shifts, the weekly roster, weekly offs, holiday lists, and the attendance rule sets for late entry, early exit, breaks and overtime.
- Create a shift Set a shift's start and end, its break, the minutes for a full and a half day and the punch window, including night shifts that end the next day.
- Assign shifts and days off Give a shift to the whole business, a branch, a department, a work site or one person, from a start date, with the days off each week.
- Plan the weekly roster Set each staff member's shift or weekly off for each day of the week, leave cells on the default pattern, and copy a week to the next one.
- Set weekly offs Create weekly-off templates such as every Sunday plus the 2nd and 4th Saturday, decide whether they are paid, and assign them.
- Add holiday lists Make a holiday list for each year, add national, state and festival holidays, copy it to the next year, and assign it to the business or a branch.
- Set up an attendance rule set Decide how attendance is marked, whether a punch-out is needed, when unmarked days become absent, the location check, and who the rules apply to.
- Late, early and break rules Set a grace period, a fine, a half-day limit and free times each pay period for late entry, early exit and long breaks in a rule set.
- Overtime and off-day rules Turn on overtime with a minimum, approval and a rate for each band, and choose what happens when staff work on a weekly off or a holiday.
