Payroll
Salary components and templates, staff salaries, payable days, pay runs from compute to finalise, holds and recorded payments.
- Salary components Add earnings and deductions such as Basic, HRA or a canteen deduction, choose how each is worked out, and set how it counts for PF, ESI, PT and tax.
- Create a salary template Build a reusable salary layout from components, choose how each line is worked out and how payable days are counted, then use it for many staff.
- Set a staff member's salary Set or revise a salary from a template and an amount such as monthly gross or annual CTC, preview the breakup and take-home, and see the history.
- Payable days methods How calendar days, 30 or 26 days a month, a fixed number of days and working days only change a monthly salary when a staff member has loss of pay.
- Payroll settings Set the pay period start day, default payable days, rounding, approval of salary revisions, PF and ESI options and what payslips show.
- Run payroll for a month Start a month's pay run, compute every staff member's pay from attendance and salaries, and move the run to review before you finalise it.
- Review a pay run Check warnings, find staff with blocking problems or on hold, and open any staff member's pay to see every rule payroll applied.
- Hold pay or set LOP days by hand Hold one staff member's pay out of a run with a reason, release it, or set their loss-of-pay days by hand while the run is in review.
- Finalise a pay run Finalise a reviewed pay run to lock its attendance, leave, fines and amounts, then publish payslips and record payments. A finalised run cannot change.
- Record salary payments Record a whole pay run as paid with the date, mode and reference, or record single payments such as an advance or a settled hold.
- Download the bank advice Download a CSV file of a finalised run's net pay with each staff member's bank details, ready to upload in your own bank's portal.
- Add one-time earnings and deductions Add a bonus, an incentive, a recovery or another line to a staff member's pay for one month or every month, with the label shown on the payslip.
- Pay staff for piece-rate work Keep a catalogue of work items with a rate per unit, record the work each person did, and pay work-basis staff from the entries.
- See a staff member's pay by month See each month of a financial year on a staff profile, with its pay run status, earnings, deductions, net pay, paid, due and the payslip.
