Review a pay run
Check warnings, find staff with blocking problems or on hold, and open any staff member's pay to see every rule payroll applied.
On this page
A run in review can still change. Use this time to check it.
Check the warnings
The pay run page shows Needs attention: each warning with how many staff it affects. Statutory components in this run shows whether PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF and TDS were computed. See Payroll warnings explained.
Check before you finalise lists things that do not stop the run but need a look, such as staff with PF, ESI, Professional Tax or LWF turned off although it is due, hourly staff with no hours recorded, or staff with income tax due and no PAN on record. Select Show these staff to list them.
Find people
Under Staff in this run, use Search staff and the filter:
- Everyone;
- Blocking warnings: people with a problem that stops payroll from paying them. They are put on hold. If you finalise the run before you fix the cause, they are not paid by this run;
- On hold;
- Needs a check: people listed under Check before you finalise.
Open one person's pay
Select a name to open their pay for the month. It shows:
- Earnings, Deductions, Net pay and any Rounding;
- Paid by employer, not part of net pay: employer PF, ESI and other contributions;
- Days: Paid days and LOP days;
- Warnings, and any statutory values awaiting official confirmation;
- How this was worked out: every rule the payroll engine applied, in order, with its inputs and result.
If a person has blocking warnings, the page says so. Fix the cause, for example set the missing salary, and select Compute again on the run.
Select Back to the run to return.
