Hold pay or set LOP days by hand
Hold one staff member's pay out of a run with a reason, release it, or set their loss-of-pay days by hand while the run is in review.
Both actions are on a staff member's pay page, while the run is In review. Open the run and select the person's name.
Hold pay
- Under Hold pay, type a Reason.
- Select Hold pay.
The person shows as On hold in the run and is not paid by it. To undo it, select Release.
Important: When you finalise a run, held pay is not carried to a later run. When you settle it, record the amount as a payment on the Payments page. See Record salary payments.
Set LOP days by hand
Use this when attendance is not marked in X but you know the days lost.
- Enter the LOP days and a Reason.
- Select Set LOP days.
- Select Compute again on the run.
The page shows "LOP set by hand" with the days and your reason. To go back to attendance, select Remove the override.
You need the Run payroll permission.
