Salary and wage registers
See a month's pay run as a salary register with every component, or as a wage register with statutory heads and the amount paid.
Both registers read the month's pay run. If the month has no computed run yet, the report says so, with a button to Open payroll.
Salary register
One row per staff member in the run: Payable days, LOP days, each earning and deduction, Gross, Total deductions, Net pay, Employer cost and Pay status (Included, On hold or Excluded).
The report shows the run's status, for example In review or Finalised. Figures can still change until the run is finalised.
Wage register
The same run in the heads a wage register uses:
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Basic and DA | Basic pay and dearness allowance |
| HRA | House rent allowance |
| Other earnings | Every other earning |
| Overtime pay | Overtime |
| PF, ESI | Employee contributions |
| Professional tax | PT deducted |
| LWF | Employee LWF |
| Income tax (TDS) | TDS deducted |
| Fines | Fines deducted |
| Advances and loans | Deduction lines whose component code is ADVANCE_RECOVERY or LOAN_RECOVERY. X creates none itself, so this is 0 unless you add such a component |
| Other deductions | Every other deduction |
| Net pay | Take-home |
| Paid | The amount recorded as paid |
Use it for the figures you enter on the statutory portals. See What you do on the government portals.
