Create your X account
Sign up with your name, mobile number, email and password, confirm the email code, and X creates your first business for you.
Your account is how you log in. Your first business is created in the same step, so you can start adding staff straight away.
Before you start
You need:
- an email address you can open now, because X sends a 6-digit code to it;
- your 10-digit mobile number;
- the name of your business.
Sign up
- Open the sign-up page.
- Fill in Your name, Mobile number, Email and Password. The password needs at least 8 characters. Avoid common words and your phone number.
- Enter your Business name. Number of staff is optional.
- Tick I agree to the terms of service and the privacy policy. You can open both from the links under the box.
- Select Continue. X sends a 6-digit code to your email. The code expires in 5 minutes.
- Type the code into 6-digit code and select Create account.
X creates your account and your business, then opens the business. The business uses India time (IST) and the language you signed up in. You can change both later in Settings → Business profile.
Note: If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder, then select Send a new code.
If you see "Request access"
Sign-up needs a way to send verification codes. When no code channel is set up, the page shows Request access instead. Fill in your details and select Request access. Our team contacts you and sets up the account with you.
What to do next
- Follow the set-up checklist.
- Add your staff.
Questions
Do I need a card to sign up?
No. Sign-up is free and does not ask for a card. During the beta every business is on the free plan.
Why does it say my phone is not verified?
Verifying a phone needs SMS, which is not set up yet. Your phone number is saved, and you sign in with your email until SMS is available.
