Add branches
Add a branch for each location with its own state and timezone, choose the default branch, and archive branches you no longer use.
A branch is a place your business runs from, such as a shop, a factory or an office. Each branch has its own state, so statutory rules follow the right state for each person.
Add a branch
- Go to Settings → Branches.
- Under Add branch, enter the Name.
- Enter a short Code, for example NSK. The code is used in staff imports.
- Choose the State. Professional Tax, the labour welfare fund and minimum wages follow this state.
- Enter the City.
- Leave Timezone on Same as the business unless the branch is in another timezone.
- Select Add branch.
You need the Manage branches, sites, departments permission.
The default branch
One branch is marked Default. New staff go to it when you do not choose a branch. To change it, select Make default on another branch.
Archive a branch
Select Archive on a branch you no longer use. Its records stay. Select Restore to bring it back.
Branches and access
Admins and managers can be limited to some branches. They then see and manage only the staff of those branches. See Invite admins and managers.
