  2. Change what you need, then select Save changes.

You need the Edit business profile and settings permission. Owners and admins have it.

What each section holds

SectionFields
ProfileBusiness name, Legal name, Industry, Number of staff
AddressAddress line 1, Address line 2, City, State, PIN code

The state matters

The State of the business is used for Professional Tax, the labour welfare fund and minimum wages. A branch in another state can have its own state. See Add branches.

PAN is stored safely

Your PAN is stored encrypted. After you save it, the page shows only the last 4 characters. To replace it, type the new PAN in the same box.

Timezone and language

  • Timezone: attendance days and reports follow this timezone. Most businesses keep India time.
  • Default language: the screens open in this language for your admins and staff until they pick another one in the language menu at the top (each browser keeps its own choice). While Payslips in each staff member's language is on, payslips also use it for staff who have not chosen their own; Urdu payslips are printed in English. See Payslip languages. The choices are English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Urdu. The screens in languages other than English are machine translations that a native speaker has not reviewed yet. Help articles are in English only.
